Mika Dubois, CAS, MSW, earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Metropolitan State University Denver. With over 7 years of experience in substance abuse and mental health, Mika has worked with clients across all age groups and diverse settings, including early intervention diversion programs for adolescents and their families, residential facilities catering to substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and trauma, as well as provided individual therapy in community mental health.
Trained in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills, Mika brings a versatile skill set to her practice. Additionally, she is certified as an Acudetox Specialist and Reiki Master Teacher.Her approach to therapy is inclusive and tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by each individual. In her sessions, she creates a welcoming environment where clients feel understood and supported, empowering them on their journey to healing and recovery. Her caring, non-judgmental, and holistic approach combines expertise with empathy, helping clients thrive.
In recovery herself, Mika’s motivation stems from her personal experience in mental health and addiction. Having navigated these challenges herself, she possesses a unique understanding and empathy that drives her commitment to supporting others on their paths to recovery.
When Mika isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, snuggling with her dog, and doing anything outdoors, including climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and paddle boarding.
