Courtney received her Bachelor of Social Work in 2015 and Master of Social Work in 2017 at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She has been practicing psychotherapy for 10 years in the Northern Colorado area. Courtney started off working with adolescents in 2014 at Turning Point with high-risk clients on parole, with complex trauma, offering crisis intervention services and therapeutic support in a residential treatment setting. In 2015, Courtney was a facilitator in the Wellness Center within Rocky Mountain High School, for teens struggling with substance use, trauma and mental health issues, connecting students to resources based on their individual needs. In 2017, she was a Care Coordinator and behavioral health therapist at Mountain Crest Behavioral Health Center for 5 years offering crisis intervention services, complex trauma interventions, individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, family interventions, discharge planning services, and group therapy services to adolescents and adults in an inpatient psychiatric setting. In 2022 Courtney began focusing her career on clients and patients being treated for substance abuse disorders. Courtney worked at Northpoint Recovery for 1 year as a primary therapist for adolescents and adults in their intensive outpatient program and also worked inpatient, providing therapy to client’s individually and in a group setting. Courtney began working as a primary therapist at The Redpoint Center in 2023. She has experience with DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, recovery support, and with internal family systems, treating individuals and families with trauma, mood disorders, anxiety and depression, family conflict, personality disorders and substance use disorders. Courtney’s passion for this line of work, stems from her motivation to help her community, as well as having empathy and compassion for all humans. Courtney has been a professional dancer for 15 years and has taught dance classes in her community for 12 years. She loves the outdoors, music, adventure, her friends and family, and traveling when she is not at work or dancing.
